Face Detection and Recognition using Machine Learning Techniques

Face recognition of persons has received so much attention in the recent years due to its many applications different fields such as security applications, video surveillance, biometric systems, identifying criminals etc. This paper develops a system that can recognize human face input image after it been detected. The is trained with set faces and non faces, when picture given, detected using Viola Jones Algorithm. In recognition, features are extracted from training dataset Principal Component Analysis (PCA) then Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification. When given for PCA multiclass classification done by SVM.
